Dearest Family,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BOYD TOMORROW - I hope you have a VERY HAPPY DAY and I hope Barji will make you a birthday cake!!!   HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL THE WONDERFUL FATHERS IN MY FAMILY - I'M SO PROUD OF EACH ONE OF YOU AND I HOPE YOU HAD THE EQUIVALENT OF A "BREAKFAST IN BED" TREAT!!!

Margaret and I got in her BMW convertible this morning and headed for Brigham City - I put flowers on my Father's grave and she straightened the flower baskets that had been put on the graves of her Father, Father-in-law and her husband by the floral company.  She has Brigham City Floral take care of flowers for all the occasions for her family members - they had put beautiful basket arrangements of artificial flowers on the graves because it is SO hot the fresh ones just wilt too fast.  I can't imagine how much it must cost her but it doesn't worry her a bit.  I put a little bouquet of red silk roses on my Father's grave and they looked JUST FINE - it's the thought that counts.

I got home in time to go to church - Margaret had gone to the earlier meetings with her son and his family.  After my church I got a bouquet of white silk roses and drove to Lehi to put them on Lynn's grave and they looked SO pretty.  The trees looks GREAT on our grave sites in the cemetery and then I drove past the farms and they look good too!!!

I was SO happy to come home and find John's truck in my driveway.  We had such a good long visit and he looks SO good - he had cut his own hair before I got home and I couldn't believe what a good job he had done!!!  He helped me SO much with suggestions about my plans for a family history picture book.  I have had my albums piled up on my big table downstairs waiting for inspiration as to where I should start.  He wants Ricky to help him with this project by scanning all the pictures and then digitizing them for the website and John will teach him how to do it.  I told him I would finance anything that would get the job done right and preserve it for the future.  John is EXCELLENT about knowing how to do this and he is interested in completing it while I still have my eyesight and "wits about me" - Ha!!!  He plans to get a computer and scanner set up downstairs and I will get the albums in order so maybe they can get started this next weekend.  I had planned to take them all to Kinkos but this will be SO much better.

Bob - thank you SO much for your phone call tonight.  He said that Michael and his friend, Neil, came for their Father's Day dinner tonight but Laura couldn't come.  Bob was on call this weekend and met a lady from Brigham City who knew "The Forrests" - when I was there this morning it gave me a funny feeling to realize that I don't have any family there anymore.

Annie - thank you for your long letter this week.  It was SO good to have an update about your family.  Grandpa Russ' knee replacement surgery went very well and he is walking with a walker and is back at his home in Jerome.  Ann & Ron took him home and made things there more accessible for him and then his daughter Joanne stayed with him a couple days to help him and Kaye. Jessie's eye surgery was a big success and she is doing much better.  Susanna and Steve love Phoenix and Steve is VERY happy with his job - they surely did move during the hottest time of the year!!!  Lee Anna is working two jobs - one is for Ron and the other is at a store in the mall called "A Store For Every Body" which she will be able to keep during the school year.  Jimmy is playing football from 6 - 8 a.m. and then he works with a landscaper from 9 a.m. 'til 6 p.m.  Annie says he is ready for bed by 8:30 p.m.  Ann and Ron are excited about their trip to Madagascar and we're all excited to hear all about it.  I have stopped sending my letters to Russell because I don't know how long it takes for them to get there and he is SUPER busy.  He has made such detailed plans for his folks' trip - they are SO lucky to have him do that.

I went to Les Miserable yesterday afternoon with Margaret, Jean Mears and Bill and Joan Johnson.  I had never seen it and I enjoyed it SO much.  I am going to try to find the story on the internet so maybe I will understand it better - it was kinda' hard to follow but the music was "OUT OF THIS WORLD".  We went to the Gateway to do a little shopping after the program and then we had dinner together and it was FUN!!!

Jeannie came over tonight and we had a good visit.  Their family was all together today for a Happy Father's Day Dinner.  She told me that little Preston just loves the swimming pool - they put him in a little floating tube and he just splashes and splashes.  Jeannie cares for him on Mondays so that Barji can study her college lessons.

Could you all plan to spend some time together either before or after Lake Powell for a meeting with an attorney to update my family trust????  Bob has told me that he has a good attorney and we need to find a date and make an appointment so let me know!!!!  I have a feeling that it might be better to plan for after Lake Powell - July 23rd, or 25th.  (July 24th is a holiday in Utah so that wouldn't be good).

That's all the news.  I LOVE EACH ONE OF YOU SO VERY, VERY MUCH.  PLEASE BE SO VERY, VERY CAREFUL IN EVERYTHING YOU DO.  Grandma B XXXXXOOOOO
