Weekly Report January 17, 2003

Dearest Family,

I'm writing my letter tonight because I am going to Park City tomorrow and I really don't know when I will be back home.  I don't like to stay very long but sometimes I don't have a vote - Ha!!!  Margaret says she may come for the Rotarian Dinner in Salt Lake on Wednesday night so maybe I will come home with her.  We have LOTS of fun when we are together either in Park City or Star Valley but I don't like to be away very long - I'M GETTING OLD!!!

HAPPY MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. HOLIDAY!!!  I really don't know how many of you will get some time off work but I know schools, government offices, banks, etc. etc. will be closed.  They are having the Film Festival in Sundance this weekend but that's not the reason we're going to Park City.  We will spend some time walking up and down Main Street and maybe we will see some movie stars but I doubt it.  Morgan Freeman would be fun to see and he is here to promote his film and of course, Robert Redford would be fun too.

This will be a short letter.  THE BIG NEWS IS THAT I HAD A WONDERFUL LETTER FROM RUSSELL!!!  I couldn't believe it but it made my day - Ha!!!  Thank you, Thank you Russell - I will cherish it and keep it for my scrapbook.  It couldn't have come at a better time.  I decided this week to change all my grandchildren's frames going downstairs - so many of the pictures on them were SO old.  Claire and Patrice have been SO good to give me photos of their children so I could put them on their frames but the one I had on Russell's frame was when he was about 10 years old and Jimmy's was when he was 5  and I believe Sarah's was about that same age - Ha!!!  I have LOTS of pictures of all the Woolley and Weinert children but for some reason I didn't have them on their frames.  I got them all fixed and when I looked at them - Russell's frame was completely blank.  I was going to ask Annie for a recent picture but his letter is better.

I have also spent some time with John and of course I have LOVED that!!!  His renters have moved out of his home and he is getting it ready to sell - he has a sign up with the information they need on it.  I hope SO much that it sells soon.  The Frederick's Family who lived across the street have sold their home so maybe there will be some activity to help sell John's home.

I was SO happy to have LONG messages from Ann, Jean and Claire this week - I truly remember how very busy your lives are now and especially for Patrice who is also working and with young children to get to school and all their activities when Roy is on-call or at the hospital.  I received a message from Dana Woods Adams and she said they were expecting snow in Little Rock - I hope you got it!!!  We need snow SO bad but we are having Spring like weather.

I had my D.U.P. meeting on Wednesday and it was very, very nice.  I had worried because many of the members had called to say they weren't going to be able to attend.  One of the new members, Diane Wheeler, had the meeting at her new home - she also prepared the dessert.  This is the second time she has served this year and there are others who won't even do it once.  I admire people who are willing to do more than their share!!!  There are some very wonderful women in the D.U.P. camp.

That's all the news - I THINK!!!  I LOVE EACH ONE OF YOU SO VERY, VERY MUCH.  PLEASE BE SO VERY, VERY CAREFUL IN EVERYTHING YOU DO.  Grandma B XXXXXXOOOOOO
