Dearest Family,

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL THE WONDERFUL FATHERS IN OUR FAMILY!!!  I am SO proud of each one of you and I hope you have all had a very relaxing and fun day and that you have been "pampered" A LOT - you surely deserve it.  A lady came up to me in the temple yesterday and she said, "I know you - tell me where you have lived the past few years.  I started telling her about living in Orem and she said, THAT'S IT, we were neighbors in Orem".  Their last name was Tintle and he was hospital administrator for the hospital in Provo and then transferred to the Northwest shortly after we moved there.  THEN she said, "Your husband was the sweetest and cutest man I have ever known".  That was so special for me to hear because no one knows Lynn where I live now and they are not one bit interested in knowing about him - Ha!!!  Anyway, I know you all know you had a wonderful Father.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BOYD TOMORROW - I hope you have a very WONDERFUL birthday.  I know Barji will make you a special Birthday cake and you will do something fun.  It is fun to see Barji SO pregnant - she looks good and they're getting excited for the birth of their little guy.

The past few days have been SO special for me.  John has wanted to come welcome Michael home from his mission so he came early in the week and spent some time bicycling in Moab and then he came to stay with me on Thursday night - the night Michael came home.  Michael came home about 9 p.m. and John and I went to their home to say "hello" about 10 p.m.  Michael is much too thin to suit me but he looks GREAT!!!  I can't believe how much he has changed - so mature, talkative and outgoing and VERY happy.  He had been awake for 36 hours but he went to Logan for his first mathematics class at 9 a.m. the next morning.  He will go back for his class again in the morning - he has an apartment in Logan and will alternate between there and his home for the next month or so.

John and I spent all day on Friday visiting and going through some genealogy and he taught me some things on the computer.  I have never known how to shop "online" so he taught me how to do that and I ordered a non-stick frying pan.  He also showed me how to look up people on "Google" - I have a cousin, Dick Forrest, and I don't know anything about him so we looked him up and there are MANY Dick Forrests so I will have fun narrowing down the one who is my cousin.  John has some good ideas about scanning important documents for the website and he is going to do that.  I am determined to do a better job in getting genealogy about my family organized - right now it is a jumbled-up mess!!!

Michael's homecoming today was absolutely WONDERFUL and he gave a GREAT report.  He had some fabulous experiences and he recognized how important the Book of Mormon is and I was proud to hear him quote many scriptures.  The Roy Mellor family was my only family not represented but we surely understand why they can't come to EVERYTHING.  I was THRILLED to have Ann, Ron, Jimmy, Jessie, and Lee Anna from the Woolley family;  Jean, Rick, Barji, Boyd, Ricky, Mary Ann, (her friend David), and Sarah from the Weinert Family; and John, Laura and Bren from the John Mellor family.  We all gathered at the Bob Mellor home for dinner after our church meeting and it was REALLY GOOD!!!  We all ate out in their backyard and it was beautiful.  Claire's parents, Bob and Alice Ezell were there and also her sister and brother-in-law Carolyn and Blair Ferner and their 8 children.  Many friends also came.  I was happy to finally meet Matilda Merrifield who is the daughter of some of our Arkansas friends - she is a student at Utah State and a friend of Michaels.

It was fun to be with Laura and Bren again and hear a little bit more about their trip to Europe.  Bren is in the 8th grade and has just finished his baseball games so now he wants to get involved in Fall football - a very nice young man.  Laura travels a lot with her company - last week in California and next week in Detroit.  I think she's too thin but then I think everyone is too thin - Ha!!!  John is thin too but he REALLY looks good and so does Laura.

We missed Susanna and Steve - Susanna has to work every night and didn't feel up to coming today.  We also missed Russell but we all know why he didn't come.  We love your letters Russell and know you are having experiences similar to Michaels.

I'm kinda' "out of the loop" as far as Lake Powell is concerned but I am willing to help in any way I can.  This is what I know:  The Weinerts and Woolleys are going on Tuesday, July 2nd - some of them are coming home on Sunday, July 7th.  The Bob and Roy Mellors are going on Friday, July 5th and I don't know when they are coming home for sure.  Bob and Ron say they can stay until July 9th and I believe the Roy Mellors can stay until then too.  ANYWAY - I hope it all works out for those of you who are going.
I wish John, Laura and Bren could go to Lake Powell - Bren has never been there and he would love it.

About the Mellor Reunion!!!  I guess Ann and I will represent the Lynn Mellor family and we are going to make it a happy time even though neither one of us wants to go.  I will miss being with Roy, Patrice and their family on their last day of their Utah Vacation and that makes me very sad but I had to make a decision and decided to support the reunion and I hope I won't be sorry.  I will make the most of the time Emily, Timothy and Jesse will be with me on Wednesday and Thursday after they get home from Lake Powell and also on the 4th before they go.

I had a fun time last week in Park City.  We just "goofed off" all week and it always makes me feel so guilty because I need to be more productive at home.  We got in her hot tub each night and that was so much fun - the air was very cold and the hot water felt so good.  We also shopped at the outlet stores and ate at good restaurants and watched television and visited.

I went to a Thailand Missionary Reunion luncheon in Slaterville on Saturday afternoon after I came home from the temple.  There were ten of us and it was just wonderful to talk about our mission - there were more from the second group of teacher missionaries than from the first group but my last companion, Myrth Kidd, was there.  She asked about Bob and John and wanted me to be sure to tell you hello from her and I forgot to do that today.  She is a character but a fun person and she thought you were both so very special.  She lives in Rexburg, Idaho and is sponsoring our friends from Bangkok to come to Idaho for a special dance festival in July.  I would like to go for it but there are too many things going on.

I believe that is all the news but I will close my letter by telling about the worst telephone experience I have ever had.  I get A LOT of telemarketer calls and last Thursday John had just come into my home and I was SO glad to see him and we had to get ready to go to the Bob Mellors home to greet Michael.  I answered the phone and the voice on the other end was speaking a foreign language.  I just hurried and said "Sawadi Kha and Mai Ben Rei" and slammed the receiver on the hook.  IT WAS MICHAEL AND HE WAS SPEAKING ITALIAN ON HIS WAY HOME FROM THE AIRPORT.  I will never forget that.  Luckily he called back and talked to us in English - actually he and John had a good conversation in Spanish.  I'M SO SORRY MICHAEL!!!

I LOVE EACH ONE OF YOU SO VERY, VERY MUCH.  PLEASE BE SO VERY, VERY CAREFUL IN EVERYTHING YOU DO.  GRANDMA B
