Dearest Family, July 6, 1998

WHAT A WONDERFUL WAY TO START THE DAY!!! I came to the computer a few minutes ago and accessed Bob's July 4th letter and pictures. I feel as though I have had a visit with my Utah family - THANK YOU SO VERY, VERY MUCH. I was SO thrilled to see John and how well he and Julianna are taking care of the yard and everything - it will be their home and that makes me very happy!!! I called to my roommates so they could see all of them - the picture of the balloons all ready to race is gorgeous and I will show that one and probably all of them to my students tonight.

JEANNIE - I AM THRILLED THAT YOU ARE COMING TO THAILAND TOO!!! I LOVED your WONDERFUL AND long and newsy letter. Ricky will be sick to death of you if you don't let him have some time with his friends - Ha!!! I can't imagine a busier family - you will be happy when August comes.

MICHAEL - THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR WONDERFUL LETTER!!! WE ALL MISS YOU HERE!

BOB - THANK YOU FOR YOUR WONDERFUL LETTER TOO!!! I love to hear about all the little things going on in your home - I can relate to ALL that - Ha!!! I'm proud of your family. I hope you will take up golf - Daddy really liked that but it interfered too much with the things he wanted to do with the family so he didn't do it regularly.

THE FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION AT THE WOOLLEYS AND THE JOHN'S SOUNDED JUST PERFECT - IT ALWAYS MAKES ME HAPPY WHEN MY FAMILY IS TOGETHER - I WISH THE ROY'S COULD JOIN IN MORE!!! I think it is wonderful that the men in the family, including Ricky, would go to the temple to do initiatories!!!

We had our teacher's meeting yesterday after Sacrament meeting and Marc Hall looked at Virginia and I and said “You will be willing to extend your missions until January won't you?. I shook my head 'NO1 NO! NO!”! He was just kidding because we are scheduled to go home with him in Dec. My roommates are all going home Oct. 17th - I don't know what will happen to me - the other sister who came out with them is going home Oct. 9th. I'M NOT GOING TO WORRY ABOUT IT!!!

I must turn off the computer - our driver should be here any minute and I get too nervous and will do something wrong if I don't take my time.
