Dearest Family, June 23, 1998

I won't have time to write a letter but I wanted to thank all of you for “keeping up with me”.

BOB - THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR FABULOUS INFORMATION ABOUT HAROLD B. LEE. I sat at the computer for a long time copying things I will use in my talk and I appreciate it more than you will ever know. It is SO strange to be here without things I am so used to - like an excellent church library. I didn't know he had written “Stand Ye In Holy Places” - we have had that book for a long time and I love it - I slept so well last night knowing I have enough material for my talk. I just accessed the first part of the things you sent me - others needed the computer but I will have time after school today. I'm happy you keep up with Jim Griffin - he is a fine man.

JOHN - WHAT A THRILL TO HAVE A LETTER FROM YOU. I am SO happy the Woolleys will be able to use the trampoline - if they can get it to their yard - Ha!!! We bought that from the Oldroyd family that lived on 800 South and they carried it over to us - I believe they had it specially made for their yard. One of their sons is living with Hannah Oldroyd now and he could tell you if it comes apart.

ANNIE - WHAT A THRILL TO HAVE AN “UP TO DATE” LETTER FROM YOU. I would like you to bring me some things and when I have time I will send you a list - nothing big but the people here who received the Olympic shirts Bob and Claire brought really appreciated them. Anything that comes from America is a prize.

JEANNIE - I RECEIVED THOSE WONDERFUL GRADUATION PICTURES - THANK YOU SO MUCH. I am constantly surprised in how much Mary Ann has changed (and for the better Mary Ann - you are beautiful). Ricky and Barji look so sophisticated in their graduation robes - I AM SO PROUD OF THEM!!! Sarah will keep up just fine.

ROY - I LOVED YOUR LAST LETTER AND I HOPE YOU HAVE SOME OF YOUR “HOME CANNED” PRODUCE LEFT WHEN I COME TO SEE YOU.

Marc Hall came by yesterday and gave me my release date - DECEMBER 11th!!! I believe my roommates are going home October 25th so I guess that means another move and another adventure for me - it will be just fine!!!
