Dearest Hey Dudes, June 6, 1998

Guess where I am. I am sitting in front of Mom's computer. This thing needs to be in a museum but it is working for them. I think her picture-opening problem is related to her RAM (16 mb) and the fact that they have two small hard drives (500mb and 700mb) the main software is on the 500 with only 11mb left. It has their boot up software in it so I'm afraid to transfer things out 'cuz I don't want to fry it for them. Soooooo I will leave well enough alone.

Happy birthday to John boy. 32 years young!!!!!!

Mom is doing great. She looks terrific and her apartment is very nice. Our hotel is also very nice! We are going to go shopping for the day. The plane trip down here is a serious journey. It is exactly 24 hours of travel time to get here and when you arrive you feel like garbage. Mom just gave me a snack to eat and it was a worm, yeah you read that right a worm. It was good. It's all in the preparation. I haven't had good worm in a long time, tastes a lot like gopher.

Right now if I calculate correctly the Jazz are playing, go Jazz!!

Mom is now ready to go so I will quit. We are in room 1521 of the JW Marriott in Bangkok (for Bob Ezell who is watching our homefront for us).

This keyboard is a hoot with all the Thai characters and everything.

Take care and lots of love from Mom and the Bob Mellor gang.

Bob
