Thailand Letter
Dearest Family, June 2, 1998
ANNIE - THANK YOU SO MUCH - MY PILLS CAME TODAY. I appreciate your doing that very, very much. I LOVED those adorable pictures - the Woolley Family is just growing up too fast and you are going in forty million different directions. I am SO very proud of you. I feel SO bad when I see the pictures of all my grandchildrens' birthdays and when I think of all the graduations they have had and the special events that I have just ignored - I have thought about all of you during those times but I haven't acknowledged them in any other way. I worry about remembering for one and not another so it is easier to not do anything for anyone - does that make sense??? I enjoyed the picture of Russell and his new bride - she is lovely and he looks WONDERFUL!!! I am very happy for them.
BOB - thank you for your letter too. I remember how hard it was to get ready to go on any kind of a trip when you all were small but as you said, “It will be worth it”. Did you get the cement poured for your storage space under your deck? You will be surprised at all the work done by hand here in Bangkok. There is a lot of construction on our street and they just took down some barriers so we could see what was going on and the things they build are beautiful.
I have taught for eight hours straight today. The weather is a little cooler and we always teach in air conditioned rooms so it isn't hard but I am always ready to go to bed at night!!!
I LOVED the article about Viewpoint - thank you for sending it to me Ann. I'm glad you and J & J were together for the showing of “Godzilla” for which Viewpoint made some of the models.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JOHN ON SATURDAY - June 6th. Bob, Claire, Michael and I will try to get a special birthday message off to you on the very day but in case we don't I want you to know I haven't forgotten. Your birthday is the easiest one for me to remember. I HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFULLY HAPPY DAY!!!
I'm anxious to get some first hand news about all of you from the Bobs when they get here. I know the Weinerts are super busy with Ricky's mission plans - I am SO excited about that. Bob tells me that Roy has helped him with the root beer recipe so I know they have been in touch.
I love you all SO VERY, VERY MUCH. PLEASE BE SO VERY, VERY CAREFUL. Grandma B
