Well - I did it again!!! I went to China Town today with a friend and I have never seen so many jewelry shops and they were all crowded. I BOUGHT ANOTHER RING and I had to use the ATM and withdraw 5,000 bahts - please don't think I have lost my mind. I am going to leave my purse and credit card home the next time I go shopping. The ring was $85 in American money - the stones are glass but the gold setting is very pretty and also very Thai - it just fits my pinky finger so I will have to give it to a granddaughter sometime - maybe not!!!

The jeweler gave me a certificate saying the gold was 90% pure or something like that. I had to show him my passport and everything.

You would LOVE China Town - I absolutely cannot believe how many people can be crowded into such small places and there is food, food EVERYWHERE!!!
