Dearest Family, March 10, 1998

I don't like the computer problems but I like being in touch with Bob every day and sometimes twice a day. I APPRECIATE SO MUCH ALL YOUR HELP!!! I DEFINITELY DO NOT WANT YOU TO WORRY ABOUT IT OR TO EVEN THINK ABOUT BRINGING US ANOTHER COMPUTER - this one will do until our mission is over OR ELSE!!! I love to brag to my roommates and tell them you want to help us - no one in their families seems interested. I DEARLY LOVE MY FAMILY!!!

I did what you told me to do and this is what I got from the computer:

Free Space: 3.89 MB Capacity (that was blank).

RAM Memory (I hope I did that right):

00640 KB System Memory

15360 KB Extended Memory

I would love to see the pictures but I trust your judgment about the condo. I guess a ground floor one would be the best - EVERYONE keeps telling me I am going to have trouble with my knees. I am in such good health now that any little thing is going to throw me - Ha!!!

Cherri Hall went to the bathroom in their apartment one day last week and when she opened the lid she saw this “sewer rat” swimming in the toilet. She screamed and her husband, Marc, came and just flushed him down again and said to not worry about it - WOW!!! They told us that would never happen to us in an apartment that is not on the ground floor and I'm GLAD!!!

There is a block in Lopburi where they have a little park for monkeys. There are two kinds there and they fight. They don't stay in the park, they are all over the town in that area - on the telephone and electric wires, on the cars, the sidewalks and just everyplace. They are small and I believe they call them spider monkeys. They are fun to watch but I worry about the diseases they could spread - the townspeople just accept them and the tourists LOVE them.

I LOVE YOU ALL SO VERY, VERY MUCH. PLEASE BE SO VERY, VERY CAREFUL. Grandma B
