Dearest John & Julianna; Roy, Patrice, Emily, Timothy & Jesse; Bob, Claire, Michael, Laura, Brett & Katie; Rick, Jean, Ricky, Barbara Jean, Mary Ann & Sarah; Ron, Ann, Susanna, Jessie, Russell, Lee Anna & Jimmy:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JOHN ON FRIDAY!!! WOW - you will be 31 years old. I surely hope you will have a very happy day but even more than that I hope you will call me to say the t-shirts are ready to be ordered. Jean helped me get the numbers right and Ann helped me get the sizes right - NOW YOU NEED TO GET THEM ORDERED RIGHT!!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO SUSANNA!!! Susanna graduated on Wednesday night and I was SO proud of her. She had the maximum number of stars by her name - three that indicated honors for scholastic achievements. There were not very many who had three stars by their names and Susanna told me that had been her goal all through school. She looked SO beautiful in her cap and gown and also her new dress and it was SO fun to see her and her friends pose for a lot of pictures. She has been in such a wonderful group of friends and their lives will be changed but they will still remain good friends for forever. Ron and Ann invited me to go with their family for dinner after graduation and I LOVED that!!! I LOVE to see the unity that is in the Woolley family and I can understand why it is that way - they love and support each other in every way they can.

I have had a fun week. I have been with the Woolleys a lot and then Jeannie and Barji came down on Saturday and that was special. Barji's friend, Boyd Summerhays, was playing in the Provo Open Golf Tournament on Saturday and he wanted Barji to come watch him. Jean and Barji drove down to watch him play and then they all came over here after. Boyd is a SUPER STAR and won the amateur part of the tournament and besides that he is a very nice young man. We visited here for a little while and then we went to "Chili's" for dinner. I talked to Jeannie that morning and she said to not fix anything because Boyd wouldn't be able to eat anything. I wished afterwards that I had fixed dinner. Boyd is going to Oklahoma State University on a full golf scholarship and since he is a year older than Barji he will be starting there in August. I am impressed with the "home rules" the Summerhays have - Boyd had to be home by 7 p.m. so they left Orem by 6. There are 7 children in their family and if they can keep those rules enforced I am proud of them - Boyd is in the middle - 4 boys and 3 girls.

HOW ABOUT THOSE JAZZ!!! I watched the playoff game between the Jazz and the Rockets and when John Stockton made the winning 3 point basket I just went bananas. I thought about that question "When a large tree blows over in the forest does it make a sound if no one is around to hear it?" No one was here to hear me shout but I couldn't help it. (Is that a funny analogy?) The Woolleys invited me to their home last night to watch the Jazz and the Bulls play - I just about cried when Malone missed the two shots that would have probably sent the game into overtime. Ann & I worked on the t-shirt thing until the last 20 minutes of the game and then I went to watch it on the big screen. It's a good thing I don't have a big screen - I would probably live in front of it. The entire family was together watching it and I think that's GREAT. Larry Miller who owns the Jazz wouldn't watch it because of his Mormon belief that we shouldn't watch games on Sunday - that made me feel quite guilty. I believe 99% of Utahns watched it.

My missionary companion and I went to the MTC for our last Japanese Encephalitis shots on Wednesday but we didn't have to go for any more training last week. We still don't know when we will have to go back to the MTC or when we will be leaving. We have two more shots to get - the last one will be on June 18th so we couldn't have left before that anyway.

I had a new prescription for eye glasses so I decided it would be best to get them before leaving. I went to Lens Crafters in Salt Lake and I love the frames but the lens make me dizzy so I will have to go back to get them changed. It's funny how long it takes to get things like that done. I also bought a suitcase and now I am worried that I got too large of one. I have a hard time keeping track of more than one thing so I decided it would be better to get one large one and leave my smaller one home but it just barely fits in my trunk. They said we could have two suitcases each weighing 70 pounds.

I had a meeting with Wayne Snow - the Prudential man who handles my investments. He is a very fine man and I am impressed with his wisdom. His missionary son was killed in Brazil a couple years ago and it has been such a difficult thing for their family but they have surely handled it well.

Roy and Patrice - I am looking forward SO much to your visit. Timothy - I bought some lizard and gecko sheets for your bed. I couldn't sleep in them but after my experience with the flowered ones on your last visit I decided you would LOVE them - Ha!!! I am proud of you for planning to drive this time. I told Boyd the other day that I cursed Oklahoma at least three times a year as we drove through it on our way to Utah. I know you will plan frequent stops and make it an educational experience for your children. We made that trip a million times with 7 in our car and most often we drove straight through - HOW DUMB!!!

Bob and Claire - I am SO grateful that I am at least a little bit informed about computers and I appreciate SO MUCH having had almost a year of using the one you bought to learn. I don't know if I will be using them on my mission but they wanted to know if I knew how. I just wish I could have had the PAF class before I left. They are starting another one and called to see if I wanted to enroll.

I have planted 4 flats of "St. John's Wort" on my hill. I am hoping they will grow and crowd out all the weeds. I have also planted 16 tomato plants and about 8 cucumber plants for John & Julianna. I hope they will water them so they will have fresh garden vegetables in August.

Ann & Ron are planning the 60th Wedding Anniversary Celebration for Russ and Bev - it will be in Jerome, Idaho on June 14th. I surely hope Bev will be feeling good for it. Ann & Ron just finished some big volunteer projects - they planned and served 850 people at a fund raising breakfast for Lee Anna's school and then Ann was in charge of their ward's "Youth Conference"

The Weinerts were in charge of their Ward's Seminary Graduation Dinner. Jean said that Rick volunteered for the job and then he left town - Ha!!! Jean planned and served 250 people.

That's all the news. I love each one of you so very much. PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL IN EVERYTHING YOU DO AND LET ME KNOW HOW I CAN HELP YOU.

P.S.

I hit some key that does strange things to my letters.. I wasn't quite finished with my letter so I will write a couple more sentences

Ann's Youth Conference was held at the "Big Rock Candy Mountain" resort and was three days and two nights. I could tell by looking at her that she hadn't had much sleep.

The Weinerts just finished a volunteer project also. Jeannie planned and served dinner for 250 at their Ward's Seminary Graduation. She said Rick volunteered to do it and then he left town - Ha!!!

That's all and I hope this doesn't foul up the printing.

I love each one of you so very much and I AM VERY PROUD OF YOU. Please let me know how I can help you.
