HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO EMILY TOMORROW!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KATIE NEXT SUNDAY!!!

They will be eight years old and that's hard for me to believe until I talk to them and then I realize they are "growing up" into wonderful young girls!!! I am SO proud of you and hope you have birthday cake and ice cream and all that goes with birthdays. I love to go shopping for their little remembrances and I mailed Emily's to her last week - when Katie was here on Saturday I gave hers to her but she forgot it and left it on the couch so I'll mail it to you, Katie!!!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY ALSO - especially to the Roy Mellor Family. Patrice - thank you for your phone call - it was fun to hear what she had planned to cook for their special dinner. They usually have corned beef and cabbage but this year she was going to try to find some good lamb for a change. Lynn loved lamb chops but he was never very happy with the lamb we could get in Little Rock so I hope you have better luck. It was also fun to hear about the progress on your new home. I had to laugh when Patrice told me that Roy had noticed the ceilings were 4 inches higher than planned by the architect so the builders were going to have to change them (I think I have that right). Roy and Daddy are a lot alike - I will NEVER forget having to shorten his sleeve lengths 1/16th of an inch when he bought new shirts. It is VERY important to get your home exactly the way you want it!!!

I was SO excited to "run into" Bob, Laura, Brett & Katie on Saturday afternoon. It was more exciting later on in the day as I looked back on how it happened. I hadn't been over to the cemetery for several weeks so I decided to go over there on Saturday afternoon. I had to go to Kinkos to get some things run off for Relief Society so I did that but they were busy and couldn't do them for about an hour so I came back home and did some things before I went back for them and then went to Lehi. There were so many things that happened that could have prevented me from being there at that very time. Bob and his children had taken their four wheeler and Bob's airplanes to the farm to have fun for a few hours and they had just left the farm and I was just turning the corner when they saw me. Bob said I was SO intent on driving that he knew I hadn't seen them - that is the way I drive - Ha!!! We stopped at the farm and visited and then they came over to my home and I LOVED it!!! There is nothing that makes me happier than to have my children and grandchildren come to see me. They had been in piano recitals in Salt Lake earlier in the day and they played their pieces for me!!!

John & Julianna - thank you for going to the "Lehi Meeting" for me on Wednesday night. They had a meeting concerning the gas line in front of my property over there. I TRULY don't want to have anything to do with that and will turn all the phone calls I receive over to Bob & John. John and Julianna were on their way to her family reunion in Arizona so they couldn't stay for the entire meeting but John called me after it was over and told me a little about it. I had told him that I was in favor of paying for that to be done - I had hoped that Don would go along with it too but I don't believe he will. It will be twice as expensive if we don't have it done at the same time as the others on the street and besides it is just being a good neighbor!!!

I called Don on Saturday morning - we usually talk once a week and it was my turn to call him. He is REALLY a good guy but he is quite offensive in his language sometimes. He said, "Blankety, blank, you got the best property over there but when Lynn told me you wanted the North side I said, just let her have anything she wants". I think that down deep that is why I don't want to have anything to do with it. We offered to flip a coin but he didn't want to do that. We let him have his pick of the rest of the property in West Canyon and also closer to the lake. He has a lot more frontage than I do and it would cost him quite a bit more to have the gas line put in - do you think I should offer to pay for it? He said I only have 600 ft. and he has about 1100 ft. When John and I measured it, we came up with 750 ft. on my side. It will cost $2.68 a ft. now and later it would be over $5.00. John - I AM PROUD OF THE WAY YOU HANDLED IT!!!

They are building some very nice homes over there now - they are estate type homes on 5 acre lots and that's good. I was worried that they may build some cheap subdivisions. I just hope that down the road a ways something very worthwhile will be done with my property over there for my family. It was SO cold on Saturday while Bob and I were visiting and I remember Lynn saying it was at least 10 degrees colder over there than it was in Orem.

The Woolleys are in California. They left on Thursday to be with Susanna for her cheerleading competition and will be home tomorrow. I have little "Wicket" and he is much easier now than before - he has grown and can't crawl through the fences. He did get out on the fence line East of me one time but he came back - I "plugged" that place up with bricks so he stays in the yard now. My neighbor, Vontella Smith, saw him on the road and tried to get him but couldn't catch him - I'm SO glad he came back!!!

Rex Lee died last week - that has been very sad but he is in a much better place now. His funeral was in the tabernacle here in Provo and attended by the First Presidency, the Governor, the former Governor and just about all the dignitaries in Utah. His wife Janet is a wonderful woman and has been very strong.

Bob told me that the Weinerts have been in Sun Valley this weekend. Ricky was in St. George playing tennis - FUN!!!Üj
