Dearest John & Julianna; Roy, Patrice, Emily, Timothy & JESSE; Bob, Claire, Michael, Laura, Brett & Katie; Rick, Jean, Ricky, Barbara Jean, Mary Ann & Sarah; and Ron, Ann, Susanna, Jessie, Russell, LeeAnna & Jimmy:

I forgot to put Jesse's name on my salutation last week and I have worried about it all week!!! I normally proof my letters before I send them but I didn't have time and I didn't re-read the letter until that night - sorry Jesse!!!

This will be a very brief letter but I'm worried that if I don't send one you will all think I am buried with work at the Woolleys and I want you to know that isn't so!!!

I didn't have time to write yesterday because we had our Relief Society Presidency meeting here and it lasted until almost 1 o'clock - I like to be at the Woolley's home when the children get home from school so by the time I finished what I had to do here, it was too late to write.

We are having the most gorgeous Indian Summer - the leaves are all turning and the mountains are just beautiful. I plan to drive to the cabin the first part of next week so I can see the leaves on the way. John & Julianna went there a week ago and they said it was so pretty. I have talked to John and I hope that John and Bob will winterize the cabin before it freezes. I don't know when they will turn the water off - they usually do it about the first of October but it is still really warm during the day so I'm hoping they won't do it for a few more weeks at least. There is the kind of anti-freeze that we need to us already up there and I will take some mouse bait when I got next week.

I'm getting excited for Sun Valley - I hope all of you are too. I'm going to try to have my R.S. Board meeting the night before we leave but it has been so funny as I have talked to others - I believe everyone in this area is planning to go away. There won't be many here to attend the meeting.

Ann & Ron called last Saturday morning. I am always amazed at the good reception we have on those long distance calls. I could hear Ann better from France than I can from her home here in Provo. They had been able to plan their trip so they could go to Monaco and Ann was excited to be able to see Prince Ranier's palace. They said they would call again when they get to Atlanta so they could tell us better when they get to Atlanta so they could tell us better when they would be home. The children can hardly wait for them to come home. They have been just wonderful and we haven't had any serious problems. I cleaned out Ann's refrigerator one day and over loaded the disposal. It just wouldn't drain so I told the children they had to eat EVERYTHING they put on their plates or in their cereal bowls because we didn't have a disposal. They were so COOPERATIVE and I was almost unhappy when it started to work.

I believe it was just clogged because when the dishwasher drained through it, it started to work again.

I told Ann that when Susanna could drive, many of her busy times would be solved - she'll worry more though!!! Susanna's friend, Christy Lee, got her license one day last week and I have never seen a group of girls more excited - they all gathered at Susanna's house and Christy picked them up and they went for a little ride and to Wendy's for a yogurt. Christy brings Susanna and Jessie home from school now when she can and that really helps.

Jeannie & Rick - I hope you had a wonderful trip to Sun Valley over the weekend. I don't believe I would be too surprised to hear that you are moving there - Ha!!! You both seem to love it SO much and I am anxious to see what it has of offer. I really appreciate your calling me and checking up on things here.

John has been to Chicago and New York this past week. He has been traveling with men from Israel. I said, I'll bet you have had a wonderful time" and he said, "Mom it isn't as much fun as you think". He does love his work though and it reminds me so much of Daddy when I would envy the traveling he did - he kept telling me the same thing - IT ISN'T AS MUCH FUN AS YOU THINK IT IS - Ha!!!

I am going to a book review so I had better get ready. A lady is going to review the book, "Tennis Shoes Among The Nephites". I don't believe I will be too interested in the book but I MUST support it.

I love each one of you so very much. PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL IN EVERYTHING YOU DO. Let me know how I can help you.
