HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the wonderful mothers in our family. Thank each one of you for remembering me on mother's day - I love being your mother so very much and am very proud of each one of you!!! We know each one of your children has a special surprise for you mothers today and it's such a fun, fun day. We went to dinner with Bob & Claire last night at the Maddox restaurant in Brigham City (actually just a little ways out on the old highway) and that has to be one of the most special things we have done for a long, long time. They had made reservations so we didn't have to wait at all and there were a lot of people waiting - it was just perfect from beginning to end. Daddy had prime rib and I have been with him a million times when he has ordered that and been disappointed in it but last night made up for all those times - his serving looked like half a beef!!! WE LOVED IT!!!

We went early enough so we could see Bob's new office and we couldn't believe it - it is really something. He has a huge aquarium in the waiting room and it is filled with the most exotic fish I have ever seen - he told us one of them has to be fed baby goldfish. His three patient rooms are just beautiful and we were SO impressed with how it is decorated - he said Claire did all the decorating. His office even has a private bathroom with a shower!!! He has a special lounge for his office staff with a refrigerator and microwave, etc., etc. - really, really nice!!!

We stopped by to see the Weinerts and they are doing good. We LOVE the way they are landscaping their home. Jeannie is like her Daddy and just needs a place to grow some flowers and now she has it. Rick & Barji weren't home - they were at a Daddy Daughter party at their church. Little Sarah has a birthday next week and we took her gift to her - that is going to be a pain for Jean to keep her from opening it - she was so excited!!!

We loved hearing from you, Roy & Patrice. It's fun to check the weather temperatures and compare ours with yours - really we have been pretty close lately so you have had some cool weather for May in Little Rock. Daddy & I don't think we will ever get warm again - we have had a long cold spell. The Cobbs' son, Brad, was married last week to a girl from Provo and they had their reception in a church not far from us. We weren't invited but we saw the announcement in the paper and then Chris had told us about it. I wanted to go anyway but decided that wasn't very nice. Frankly, we're happy when "someone" leaves us off their wedding list - Ha!!! The picture in the paper of Brad shows how much he looks like Randy - their youngest son, Scott, is on his mission and he is the only one unmarried.

The Woolleys are doing fine.  Their attorney was really happy because he was able to get a change in venue for them 0 it will be held in Provo instead of Salt Lake.  Little Jimmy didn't feel very good last week but he's better now.  Their children will be out of school in a couple weeks and they have a million things planned - we love to see the children all involved in a lot of things.

John is doing fine too. His classes take a lot of time and that's good - did I tell you that he has decided to wait until next year to apply for dental school? He thought it over good and hard and with Gayla coming home during the year it would be foolish for him to be in Iowa - WE WERE THRILLED THAT HE CAME TO THAT DECISION BY HIMSELF!!! I had the sweetest mother's day card from her. (John doesn't read my letters or I wouldn't dare write this - Ha.) He will finish his classwork the end of June and will graduate in August and then will have a year free from school work and that will be good for him. He had a letter from Iowa saying he was on their alternate list (because he had applied so late) but he seemed to think he would get in. He is such a joy to have around but I promise I did not use pressure in this decision.

Daddy is doing good too. We went fishing at Utah lake one day last week and I caught three big catfish and he caught one mud catfish and one big catfish. I say I catch them and I wish you could watch us - I sit at the end of the boat and he baits the hook and casts it out for me and I hold it and read my book and then when a fish bites it he pulls it in and nets it. We were out there for about six hours but it was beautiful - not too hot. I am writing my letter today because we plan to go out early in the morning again.

We also went to the cabin one day last week. He loaded his four wheeler and all that lumber in the truck and then we unloaded it at the cabin. He has plans to build cabinets all along that one wall. One of our neighbors at Scofield met us and said they had the water all turned on and everything was ready to go. Well - when we turned ours on nothing happened. It seems that everyone in the camp has their own private turn off valve except us and we didn't know that. We think ours is controlled by the bowery valve and they haven't turned that one on yet. Daddy is going to dig a place for our pipes so we can hook on to our neighbors and have our own private valve. The "head man" wasn't there the day we were so we'll have to go back next week and try to figure it out. The cabin is in good condition!!!

It's about time for our church so I'll close. Daddy is going to take John & me out for Mexican food after church and then we have to go to Lehi for a "viewing" of my Aunt Lucille Webb's brother-in-law who just passed away - he was 89. THEN - we have to hurry home to watch the Utah Jazz and the Portland Blazers play game three - the Jazz won last night but the Blazers have won two. We have really enjoyed those games. WE LOVE YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH.
