Dearest John; Roy, Patrice & Emily; Bob, Claire, Michael, Laura, Brett & Katie; Rick Jean, Ricky, Barbara Jean, Mary Ann & Sarah; and Ron, Ann, Susanna, Jessie, Russell, LeeAnna & Jimmy;

Wow!!! We're having Fall weather and it is WONDERFUL, I love Fall - it doesn't really seen like even had a Summer - I guess because we have spent a lot of time away from the heat.

I don't really have any news to write - I just asked Daddy to give me some news ad he said tell them about our garden and how we're enjoying fresh vegetables, tomatoes, cucumbers and he picked a few raspberries this morning. Our raspberries have not been as plentiful as in other Summers and we don't know why - the vines look so healthy but not as many berries - we're wondering if maybe the neighbors have picked them while we have been gone. We really wouldn't care because they are on their fence too!!! We bought a bushel of early Alberta peaches the other day and they taste SO good - I am going to get my fill of peaches this Summer some way!!!

We hope you are all doing good. We're anxious to get a report from the Woolleys about their reunion - I think the weather may have been really cool in Yellowstone but I'm sure they went prepared. Daddy & I drove by their home on Saturday to see their fence and it is BEAUTIFUL!!! It isn't finished yet but what is done really frames their home and sets it apart and is a wonderful addition.

John spent one evening with Bob & Claire last week - he went to get his English paper printed on their computer and surely enjoyed some barbecued chicken with them. He said Claires! Parents were there helping with some wallpapering - they are real decorators!!! I forgot to thank you for those blue towels, Bob. We really love those - they're stiff after the first laundering but then soften up and are so absorbent. I use them at the cabin.

We talked to Jeannie on Monday night and she told us a little more about her reunion. We're anxious to see their pictures and hear more. Daddy & I went to a wedding reception in our neighborhood the other night and met a couple who live in Farmington, so naturally we asked if they knew you and they do and spoke so highly of you. Their last name is Peterson and her name is Nyla but I can't remember his. We miss the children - when we are with them for a day or so we really get interested in everything they are doing.

Roy & Patrice - Chris Jordin called yesterday and we had a good visit. She said she had enjoyed talking to you on the phone, Patrice. She told me that Ted Snyder had taken Marc to lunch at the new country club at "Chinault Mountain" - where in the world is that? She said people were leaving Pleasant Valley and Little Rock Country Clubs to move to that one. It sounds like it is out by Ferndale (where Paul & Jane Rippier used to live). She also told me that Chip Strickland went into plastic surgery and is at the hospital is Dallas where they took Pres. Kennedy when he was shot. He changed from neurosurgery to plastic surgery. His folks have moved from Little Rock but his wifes' parents are still there. We surely hope you are feeling good Patrice. It is wondering that little Emily likes her preschool - that is a big help to you. We're wondering how your "house hunting" is coming. Chris said you had decided against a home that backed up to Henson road because of the noise so it sounds like you are being very smart as you look around.

John is doing really good - he worked on our genealogy all day Saturday and took what he done on the computer to the printer and had it printed into a book. I need to settle down and do some on the Forrest line so I can complete with the Mellor line. My Aunt Ellen who was married to Uncle Jasper (Mother's brother) is from the "Garn" line (her mother was a Garn) so now we need to find out if she is related to Gayla. He had friends from Idaho come stay with him over the weekend.

Daddy & I spent Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday at the cabin but I'm afraid that Daddy worked too hard - he has really been tired since we came home. He "formed" the area where he is going to have the cement put. He had two big loads of dirt hauled in and then he spread it and measured it all to be even. John said he would go help with the cement and Daddy borrowed Ray's cement laying tools so now we're waiting to see when they can deliver the cement. We hope it will be either tomorrow or Wednesday. There is a huge rock right in the middle of the path leading to the cabin and Daddy told John "it has his name on it" - we hope he will be able to break it down. We were surprised when we got to the cabin on Tuesday to find a "home" being built right across from our cabin. Actually they were framing around a trailer but it is big and looks like a home. They have installed a washer and dryer up there too for everyone to use and have extended the "bowery" so it is "UPTOWN" - Ha!!!

Daddy & I went to that theatre production in Salt Lake on Friday night - Ann has been taking her girls to that for the past two years and I have gone occasionally with her. This production was "Midsummer Night's Dream" and even though we are not Shakespeare fans it is REALLY enjoyable. I have never seen anything better done - we had excellent seats and were close enough to hear good and we loved it. I have always loved "live" entertainment and enjoy seeing young people learning talents like that.

Daddy leaves on Thursday with Roy on an "Elk Hunting Expedition". They're going to the place where they have permits for the hunt to "scout" it out. It will be fun for him. He has a cold and I hope he gets feeling better. John & I are going to try to do the biggest part of the cement job so he won't get completely worn out - he has a hard time taking it easy!!! WE LOVE YOU ALL!!!
