Dearest Johnny; Roy, Patrice & Emily; Bob, Claire, Michael, Laura, Brett & Katie; Rick, Jean, Ricky, Barbara Jean, Mary Ann & Sarah; and Ron, Ann, Susanna, Jessie, Russell, LeeAnna & Jimmy:
Well - Thanksgiving is over and it was just wonderful in every way. We appreciate more than we can say how all of you cooperated with preparing food,
traveling and especially the family picture - you all looked SO nice and believe me, I know it wasn't easy for you. We can hardly wait to see the proofs and will let you know as soon as we can how they turned out. We are scheduled to see them on Friday afternoon - that is going to be a busy day - Daddy has another check up with Dr. Flanders in Layton in the morning and then we have our ward Christmas party at 6:30 that night and I have to prepare one of the big desserts!!!!!
We were SO happy to know that you arrival home safely and on schedule, Roy & Patrice. After we left you at the airport we went to Bob & Claires and it was snowing so hard there that we were really worried that the planes wouldn't be able to take off. We started calling at the time you were supposed to leave but they told us things like, "the airplane is out of the gate but doesn't have permission from the control tower to take off" - we were ready to go get you but they finally told us you had left. It was SO wonderful to become acquainted with that little Emily and she truly is a little doll!!!! We hope you are feeling better Roy and that Patrice & Emily don't get it - we haven't had any flu symptoms yet.
Tomorrow is going to be a big day for the Woolley family - little Jessie will have surgery in the morning to have the lens removed from her eye. The doctor will be able to determine more the extent of the damage to her eye and we're all praying they will have good news. She has gone through so much and has done it with flying colors so we know she will come through this too. Your home was SO wonderful for part of our Thanksgiving!!!!
Jeannie & Rick - we stopped in to see you on Saturday afternoon too but you weren't home - we hope you got your medicine, Jeannie. That was a dreary day and I'll bet you went shopping or something to get away from your motel apartment. When you get into a home you will feel like you are in a mansion no matter how big it is after living there. We could hear Cocoa in the bathroom - he will be happy to get into a home too - Ha!!!
Bob & Claire - it was fun to just "pop" in on you Saturday. Your home is so lovely and we could tell you are "loving it". We hope Katie's runny nose doesn't turn into a bad cold - this is the time of year when those start and once they start, they just don't stop - guess that's good for your business though Bob!!! Thank you so much for the portable crib and also the car seat for little Emily - that really helped!!!!
Daddy left about 4 o'clock this morning to go ice fishing with Ray. He spent all day yesterday when he wasn't in church meetings getting ready for this and he was SO excited - I am SO proud of him - he has a zest for living that is unbelievable and I know that contributes to his feeling good. When he got out of bed this morning it was freezing cold and I though how happy I am that I am a woman and don't have to like ice fishing - Ha!!!
Johnny spent a lot of time at the computer last night - I believe he had a paper that was due. He has a zest for living just like his Daddys and I hope he will be able to harness it until he gets his education - he just loves to do EVERYTHING!!!! He and some of his friends like to take the four-wheeler and pull those little disk sleds around the neighborhood - I hope they don't get hurt.
Just about all of our neighbors have their Christmas decorations on their homes - I can't believe it!!! They didn't even wait until after Thanksgiving was over. Our street looks like a Christmas Fairy Land and I love it - we can't have too much snow for me. Johnny said he would get a "crew" and come put our lights up but I believe we will have to wait until it stops snowing. Ann & I got up on the roof last year to put them up but it wasn't snowing. The weather news is that the storms will let up toward the middle of the week so we'll do it then.
I can't think of any more news - since we have all been together you all know the news as much as I do. Thanks again for all you did to make our Thanksgiving such a special time for us - WE LOVED IT!!!!
