Dearest Johnny; Roy; Bob, Claire, Michael, Laura & Brett; Rick, Jean, Ricky, Barbara Jean, Mary Ann &Sarah; and Ron, Ann, Susanna, Jessie, Russell, & LeeAnna:

I'm excited - Roy showed us a lot of things we could do with this computer and one of them was to not have to type the salutation each time and I tried it and it worked!!!! It is really unbelievable all the things this machine will do and it has been so much fun to work with it - Daddy has learned how to use it too. Roy is really interested in computers and it's funny that his friend, Bill, isn't - I have taken for granted that everyone in this generation would be!!!

I am writing my letter on Tuesday morning - we have had a busy weekend and also I knew the mail wouldn't leave until this afternoon anyway because of the holiday yesterday, President's Day.

Johnny - what a beautiful postcard we received from you!!! We loved it and if you only have time for postcards that is just fine with us - we know you are really busy and we're so happy that you are. We were also thrilled to receive your letter and you sound so happy - how wonderful!!! Three more baptisms - it's really great when you baptize a family and I know that gives you such a mission activity at the park - I'll bet it was fun! Our missionaries kept wanting a mission activity and we just couldn't do it because of the distance involved. Your fruit sounds so good - we saw grapes at the store the other day and tasted them but they weren't sweet so we didn't buy any - I'm sure yours are really fresh and sweet and it seems so funny for you to be having cantaloupe at this time of the year. Elder Taylor came over Sunday night and wanted to know all about you - Daddy has asked him to be chairman of our reunion in April - he has just received a job at the MTC and he is really happy about that. Daddy had written a letter of recommendation for him about three months ago and they didn't have any openings so he had to wait. He told us that the Mission Van up in Billings was stolen from the staff's apartment and they haven't had any leads on it yet - we didn't ask him if the keys were left in it. I guess it was really a luxurious van too - they had used the traveling fund collected from the missionaries to get special things for it - that seems so funny to us because whenever that fund got too high Daddy lowered the rate charged to the missionaries instead of having it build up. Did you remember Bro. Rigby - he passed away very suddenly - Sister Erekson called to tell us.

Claire - your letter was so cute - we laughed about little Michael not wanting you to nurse Brett while his neighborhood girl friend was over visiting with him. Michael is so grown up and we can hardly wait for him to be able to play with his Utah cousins - I think your method of having him earn points by keeping his room clean and doing chores and then using those points to get his spending money is a great idea and it doesn't sound like bribery to me. Your weather sounds great too - being able to go to the park and play outside is so good for the children and wonderful for you. We are really looking forward to having you come in March (Bob can't get two weeks off in June so they're coming the last week in March and first week in April) - the weather will be a lot warmer than it is now and hopefully it won't be rainy but if it is we'll have lot of fun anyway!

Little Susanna was the "Star Fairy" in her school play last Wednesday and Daddy and I went to it. It was absolutely darling and she did her part so well - there are four first grades in the school and they all put it on - there were only a few with speaking parts and Susanna was one of them and she had a fairy costume that Annie had made and we were all so proud of her. I thought it was so neat that her Daddy video taped the whole thing so she could come home after and she how she did. We went back to their home after the play and had apple pie and ice cream - it was such a fun evening for us!!!

Roy & and his friend, Bill Camaan, came in on Friday night to attend an anesthesiologist conference at the Westin Hotel Utah in Salt Lake. Their meetings have started at 7 o'clock each morning so they have to leave here at 5:45 - their meetings last until about noon and then they go skiing. They weren't able to get lift tickets son Sunday at Park City but other than that they have had a lot of fun - the weather has been kinda' stormy but not bitter cold. Their meetings end today so they hope to be able to have a couple days left in the week to get in more good skiing. We have had a lot of avalanches in Utah this week but they are in the back country - I always worry so much about that!!! It is just wonderful having them here with us even though we don't see a lot of them. Bill is a super young man - he has a two month old son and he brought pictures of him and he's a doll!!!!

Jeannie & Rick spent the weekend with friends at their condo up in Bear Lake and we had the children. Annie had Ricky & Barji spend the nights with them and then all day on Sunday - the children really had fun but I think it was a houseful for the Woolleys because Ron's parents had come too. We loved having them and it's neat to get acquainted wit them when their parents aren't around. Little Sarah is so sweet and Mary Ann was just wonderful to help us and very cooperative - Ricky and Barji are always like that with us.

Daddy & I were invited to a special party at the church for Valentine's Day - it was a dinner so we had to RSVP. After I had told them we would come we found out it was for the Senior Citizens - it was really funny - they had an orchestra made up of men who had to be in their eighties!!!! Most of the people who were there were in their late seventies or early eighties and it was quite an experience for us. The people in the ward are so sweet to us - it's an adjustment to be put in that group - Ha!

We are going to the temple now and I am out of space. WE love you all so very much - BE CAREFUL - Let us know how we can help you!
