Dearest Roy, Bob, Claire & Michael, Rick, Jean, Ricky, Barbara Jean & Mary Ann and Ron, Ann, Susanna & Jessie & Russell,
I just had to add a big P.S. to my letter of yesterday because I didn't know about the most important thing that happened on that day until after we had mailed our letters. It was so funny - I insisted to Daddy that we take our letters to the Post Office instead of waiting until today to mail them and then right after we got home Rick called to give us the big news - we are so-o-o thrilled.
We really feel so blessed to have little Mary Ann and so grateful that Jeannie was in the University Hospital where they were able to take care of emergencies. We're sorry that it had to be caesarean because it will take Jeanne much longer to recuperate but how smart for the doctors to not take any chances. She just be very tiny - 4 lbs. 14oz. But we talked to Jeannie this morning and she had her with her all night so she doesn't ever have missionaries because of this great blessing.
When we told the missionaries about her this morning they were so excited and thrilled for us. One of our Elders said his sister had a 1 lb. 11 oz. baby boy six years ago and they had to keep him in the hospital for six months but he's healthy now except for an eye defect. They all said, "Oh, Sister Mellor, we know how much you would like to be with her", and they are so right!!!!!!
WE are so proud of our family and love each one of you very much - we really miss you!!
