Dearest Ron, Ann, Susanna & Jessie, Rick, Jean, Ricky & Barbara Jean and Roy,

Well - one more week closer to the time when we will find out where we will be for the next three years. This week Daddy has decided that we will be sent to Billings, Montana because he learned that that mission was open - Carol Called last night and told us that the two missions in Ohio were open and also the one in Michigan so I have decided we will be sent in that area - I think we will all be surprised but it will be so much easier when we know!!!! Carol and Elly have completed their mission and will probably be going home within the next week - they said they would try to come to see us on their way home and we hope they do - they will really be happy to get home - they said that little Jimmy (the one who had the malignant brain tumor) was completely healed and his hair has grown over the scars and the only sign that remains of his illness is a slowness of speed hand they say that will improve for all of us - Daddy's sisters have all been so sweet to call him - Elaine has called twice and Shirley called at midnight our time (she lives in California and there are two hours difference and she had just heard the news) - they are so proud. I have yet to hear from anyone in my family and that is really hard to understand!!!!

Daddy and I drove up to Mountain View to attend the church services there - Daddy helped that Branch buy a church that was formerly owned by the Pentecostal Church and he had never attended a meeting since they bought it - they were so thrill to see him and had him speak. We would like to attend all the units before we leave but I'm not sure there will be that many Sundays - next week we plan to go to Glenwood or Batesville. It's hard to leave Johnny and he doesn't like to go with us.

The Razorbacks lost their game today in the NCAA finals (I think that was what it was).  Johnny watched the game while we were gone and when we got home he was so upset you would have thought he was the Razorback's star player - it was a big disappointment because they only lost by one point. Hall has won the state championship here in Little Rock - Johnny went to the games at UALR and really enjoyed them - he says that next year they will really be good - I don't know how they could be any better than to win the championship. Johnny really loves school and has the nicest group of friends we could possibly hope for. Daddy and I had a conference with all his teachers last Thursday to get opinion on whether or not we should have him repeat this year of school when we move - his math teachers say absolutely not - they say he is ready for trigonometry and calculus but his biology and English teachers say he has too much fun in their rooms. It will depend a whole lot on where we go but we are seriously considering having him go into the tenth grade - that way he will be able to stay with us the full three years besides being a more mature student - what do you think??? They all asked about you Roy - Mrs. Carpenter especially thought you were really something and Mrs. Popperfuss too!!!

It was so good to talk to you Annie and Jeannie and also Ron - we missed you somehow Rick!!!! We're really anxious to get to Utah in a couple weeks and I hope we won't be too tired to enjoy the children and relax a little. We're going to bring a lot of our things and Daddy will drive a big U-Haul truck and pull our boat and I'll drive the Toyota. Our garage is completely filled with boxes that have been packed - I believe we are starting on box 72 now - our Lehi home is going to be completely full and then some. We hope to have just our furniture and a few boxes to bring in June. We're going to take it easy - we'll leave here Saturday morning the 27th and will probably get there sometime Monday or Tuesday - our meeting in Salt Lake isn't until Wednesday and we can have the truck until Thursday so that should work out fine.

We surely hope everything is going great for all of you - we will be so thrilled if Ron gets to spend sometime with Roy this next week. We are bringing all of our memoirs and treasures and it will be fun if sometime in the future we can all go through them together - Bob found some clippings of his hair that was cut when he was about 12!!! We love you all very much.
