Dearest Ron, Ann, Susanna & Jessie, Rick, Jean, Ricky & Barbara Jean and Roy,

This has been a funny week - weather wise!!! The weather forecasters have predicted freezing rain two days in the afternoons so they have let school out early - it was funny, one day we all left school at 1 o'clock and the sun was out and it was like Spring - the next day in the paper they had pictures of the buses pulling away from the school wit the caption "school lets out early because of inclement weather - sunny skies prevailed". We got out early again on Friday and it was a good thing because the roads really did get icy. The temperatures have been in the teens most of the week and that is really unusual for Arkansas. The reading lab where I am teaching is inn a trailer and the kids all come in from the school building and it's been a mess - they all have to bundle up and the steps to the trailer have been icy and the trailer is so drafty!!!!

It was fun to talk to Ann and to Rick this week - I really appreciate the Weinerts going to the reception for Pam and her husband (Roy - I? Was supposed to send you the invitation to Ram Forrests wedding reception - she is Don't daughter). I can also understand why the Woolleys didn't make it. I talked to Grandmother and Grandpa Forrest on Monday night and they were really excited about going to the temple the next morning for the wedding. Mother said they had really gone "all out" so I'm sure everything was really nice - we had sent don and Cheryl and Dee and Judy some pecans and Cheryl wrote to thank us for them and she told us about the wedding - that was the first time we had known that Pam was even serious. Pam is a beautiful girl and they are very pleased with her husband.

Roy - we haven't heard from you for awhile but we know you are super busy and I'm sure you are having to spend a lot of them at the hospital. Claire Mart will hear this next week whether or not he has been accepted into medical school here - -his is the second or third time he has applied so we're hoping he'll get in. He has almost a straight 4 point average form UALR and did pretty well on his MCAT score this time so he'll probably make it. Mrs. Puckett asks about you all the time - she said that Greg was really happy with his work - she is a wonderful principal and the teachers really like her. Have you heard from Robert? We thought we would bear from either him or his folks by now but we haven't - the horse races have started so his folks will be tied up for the next month or so. John wants us to take him to the races sometime - we might do it!!!!

Y
We had our scripture study group here Friday night - we had icy roads but they all came anyway. We have a good time together and I'm learning a lot - Daddy doesn't need it like I do!!!! I served that caramel ( Eagle Brand Milk boiled for 4 hours) with pineapple slices and cool-whip - they really loved it. That's all the news - Johnny is busy every single minute with basketball, school activities or girls - he really is happy - a complete change from last year - did really well in his semester grades. We surely do love each one of you and hope you'll let us know if we can help you in any way - PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!!
