Hi Everybody -

This is Don Smother taking over for Wolter Crankcase.  Mom is frying the chicken today so I am taking over on the A.P. News.

Arkansas is all smiles - in case you didn't hear - they beat Louisville in the NCAA basketball Tournament by 1 point made from 49 feet by U.S. Reed as the buzzer sounded to end the game.

Robert Tucker came by to see us - Roy his is a real mixed up kid with no one to really turn to for help.  We hopes he gets straightened out enough to go back to school.  Now he's talking about summering in Chicago and wintering in New Orleans (bartending)

Ellen Protho goes back into the hospital this week for more checks - she is not doing well at all.  Jill wants a job in Fayetteville - they want her to work on M.S. in L.R.

We're getting ready to leave Friday nite or Sat. am.  We'll bring both cars & the trailer so we probably won't get there 'til Monday - this way we can use the trailer this summer and leave the Lincoln out there if we decide to.

Our weather is a typical Arkansas Spring - beautiful with all the flowers and flowering shrubs.

Some brave souls have already gone skiing (water).

John played his first soccer game Friday.  They lost to SouthWest but John did well.  He is growing about an inch per week.  I think he will take after the Forrests in size.

Nelson Rivers has been sick for a week - They finally operated for gall bladder and when they got inside found he didn't even have one.  They sewed him up and still don't know what's wrong.

Mark E. Peterson is our conference visitor - We'll both be glad when it's over and we can be common ordinary members and maybe even sin a little - we both want to get out of the fish bowl.

Bob & Claire are doing good.  Claire looks like "Olive Oil" (Popeye's Sweetie) after she swallowed an olive, and Bob is starting to fill out - weighs 168 lbs.

We love you all and are proud of you.

Dad, Mom & John
