November 1980 Monday Hi Y'ALL - Surprise!!

I'm sitting in a calculus class at Hall High. I have given the class their assignment and hope they don't ask me any questions 'cause it's been 40 years since I had this stuff and I can't even read the problems much less do them.

I can handle the algebra and a little of the trig but this stuff is over my head and I'm not about to settle down and learn it at my age.

I'm going to go every day until the duck season starts and then give it up for awhile. Bob & John & I are going out Sunday P.M. and sleep in our new sleeping bags in Johnny's tent so we'll get a head start on all the hunters. We hope there is good duck hunting in Utah. We are all getting anxious but can't tell anyone here until after April. It wouldn't be good to have a lame duck Stake President.

We are glad that your business is going good. We knew that it would be a big success.

We are really getting homesick. We have even talked about coming for Thanksgiving but John only gets 2 days off and that would mean 4 days travel for a 1 day visit. We can hardly wait for your visit. We can't imagine Suzie talking and Jessie getting grown up. Everything we see we wonder how it would look on them. From the pictures it's hard to see how big they are.

Hope you all are doing ok - glad Ron's face is healing. It seems like the whole world is going kookie - especially cities like New Orleans, Chicago, D.C. etc. - everywhere but Zion - Right???
