I could shorten that but I love to write all those names!!!
We left Lehi about 9 p.m. on Tuesday night and got here about 1 a.m. Thursday morning - it was really a long, long trip - you know us, we had egg salad for 4 dozen sandwiches and only ate one a piece plus drinks and everything else and we were CROWDED!!!
I felt bad for Jimmy but he was a good sport and didn't complain one bit - Johnny has gotten so he just closes his eyes and tries to sleep for 30 hours. We slept most of the day Thursday but by Friday we were ready to get with things.
I still have a lump in my throat when I realize that we missed Roy by just two days - we appreciate so much all you did to help us out Roy - the house and yard were in perfect condition and we all LOVE the way you arranged the den - I knew it wasn't quite right but didn't know what to do about it. I had looked forward to shopping with you and making your closet curtains - if you send me the measurements, length and width, I would love to do it. Your trip to Washington and the museums sounded so fun and so worthwhile and we're happy you're back at school safe and sound.
We went to Bob & Claire's for dinner last night and it was really nice - they had a birthday celebration for Daddy & John with pecan pie and candles!!! They really got a good deal - the Jones wanted to sell the furniture from the den in the Mission Home and Pres. Jones called to see if we wanted it for our rented home - we couldn't use it but Bob & Claire got a beautiful sofa, matching chair, a separate chair, a large coffee table, two drum tables and a lamp for less than $200. They are really thrilled!!
The Cavenesses took John & Jim to Lake Quachita water skiing yesterday - they really had fun and saw a water moccasin. Daddy is going to take them to Lake Maumelle fishing in the morning.
We really loved being in Utah - in fact, if it doesn't cool off soon I'm going back!!!! We really love each one of you so very much and we're so proud of you!!!
