Dearest Ron, Ann, Susanna & Jessie, Rick, Jean & Ricky and Roy,

We got home about three o'clock this afternoon - our Relief Society and the Priesthood start fat that time but by the time we had showered and cleaned up it was too late to go so we haven't kept the Sabbath day very well today. We had a good trip back home except that Johnny was sick most of the way we had to keep stopping for him - that was really a funny virus - I awakened about four o'clock Friday morning with it but I thought it was something I had eaten at "Porter's Place" the night before because we had all eaten way too much - I was much better about three morning we knew it must be a virus. We hope so much that Susanna and Ricky don't get it but if they do take consolation in that it doesn't last very long - Johnny is all well now and eating everything in sight - we had to stop for steak and eggs in Fort Smith because he was better.

Roy - we wish so much that you and Bob and Claire could have been with us this past week and especially Friday night when they blessed little Jessie and gave her name - that was one of the most choice things we have ever had in our family. Ron and Ann did a fabulous job in planning the nicest program and Ron's family came from Idaho and Salt Lake for it and Rick and Jean and Ricky were there - it was really special - the first one I have ever attended in a home; and it gives us a guideline to help people here do that - with the new consolidated program they are suggesting that families have their babies in the homes because the meetings are so short. We loved being with the Woolleys - they are such fine people who are so strong in the church and they give such stability to a family - that Susanna is really something - a very well adjusted and happy child - we loved having her with us for the little while we were there and miss her so much - Johnny just adores her!!!!

Rick - your taking Johnny skiing just made his trip and we appreciate that so much - he talked about it so much on the way home and will have something to tell all his friends at school tomorrow - going to Utah to go snow skiing is "a big deal" here!!!! I kept forgetting to tell you how good you look "without" your moustache - it took me a while to figure out what was different - don't get me wrong Ron, I like moustaches but I like Rick without one!!!! We are so thrilled when we think of little Ricky and his marvelous disposition - he will go to anyone and cuddle up so cute that he wins your heart immediately - what a special, special little guy. Jeannie - we hope so much that you will get feeling better soon - when Johnny was "throwing up" yesterday we told him that you had felt that way for seven months now and then really for the nine months before that - we hope you can stand it for just a few more weeks!!!! We're grateful for your good doctors but we surely do feel helpless being so far away - we hope you'll keep us informed and let us know what we can do to help. Your home and yard are looking so good - Spring in Utah is such a beautiful time to spend in the yards.

Bob, Claire and Claire's brother Steve came over after church today - Steve is really a handsome young man - he drove his car and brought Shelley and Rick Cobb home - they are all going back to the "Y" next Sunday and will stay for the Spring Semester and then Steve is going to England. I tried to get him to stay here with us since Bob and Claire's apartment is so small but he wanted to stay with them - they are planning some fishing trips and also a Buffalo River float trip while he's here. Bob said that everyone has accepted the change in the Stake Presidency very well - I don't believe Bro. Cobb has a calling yet but I'm sure he will have one soon - he'll keep busy doing good things one way or another - he's a fine man.

Our home and yard look so beautiful - all our flowers are in bloom and the lawn is so pretty and green - Hans was surely happy see us - Bob said he hadn't been eating so they had bought him some canned dog food- he is a beautiful dog.

I can't think of any more news - partly because they isn't any and partly because I'm "trip tired". We want our Utah kids to know that we are really proud of you - you are headed in the right direction, doing the right things with your families and we salute.
