Dearest Ron, Ann & Susanna, Rick, Jean & Ricky and Roy,

It doesn't seem possible that we are going into Thanksgiving Week - I guess that's what happens when you're busy - time goes by so fast. We will really miss each one of you and we hope you have a wonderful "family kind" of day - Roy, we will worry about you as you travel to New York and hope you'll be especially careful - we think it is so nice for Ty's folks to have you and Keith come spend it with them. Tell Ty that we are all keeping our fingers crossed that he will get into the Med School of his choice - he really is special to us and hope to see him again sometime soon and we also hope to become better acquainted with your other roommates. I'll bet the Woolleys will be going to Idaho to be with Ron's family - we hope so because that's important! I'll bet the Weinerts will have an absolutely fabulous dinner because Jennie's that kind of cook - we just hope you won't have to work that day Jeannie. We haven't checked with Bob and Claire yet but we hope they'll have dinner with us. I would really like to go to the Hall - Central football game that day but I think I'm the only one interested so we probably won't go - they are tied for first place and that should be a wonderful game - Central may be one ahead of them.

Well - duck hunting season has arrived and you wouldn't have to be in our house for longer than five minutes without finding that out. Bob, John and Daddy left here Friday about noon and left for Bayou Mide - they spent the night and shot nine ducks Saturday morning and came home that evening. Bob had to miss a class and he had a friend take notes for him and then he caught a cold so I'm not sure it was worth it for him but Daddy and John really had fun - they must have scared two of them to death because they weren't "shot up" so they have saved them for mounting - Johnny put them in a sack and put them in the freezer and he has written all over them "DON'T EAT" - I'm glad because if I took the sack out and put it in the microwave to defrost I would have had heart failure when the sack out and put it in the microwave to defrost I would have had heart failure when I opened the sack!!!! Johnny is constantly practicing his "duck calling" in the kitchen!!!

Roy - you just called - that was so fun!!! (He called for my sweet potato recipe.) I'm flattered whenever you want a recipe. I a.m. so thrilled that you are learning to cook and your dinner today sounds great - he was going to a "Thanksgiving" dinner and he was supposed to take the candied sweet potatoes. We loved visiting with you when you called on Bob's birthday and then Bob told us you were able to reach him at their apartment - he said it was neat to compare anatomy notes. Bob and Claire came over for dinner on Monday night - we cooked a rib roast and it wasn't very good - I was disgusted because it was very expensive. Bob said he definitely didn't want a birthday cake so we got an ice cream pie from Baskin and Robbins and it was good.

Johnny is waiting now for some people who are going to come look at the puppies - we have sold one and I want to buy the little female but Daddy and John won't let me - she is the smallest one we have ever had and I really want to keep her. We haven't had as many calls with these puppies - we put the price of them in the ad and money is really scarce here.

We had some people come last week and appraise our home - the Bailey Corporation who owns that new development where we have bought the lot wanted to come so Daddy said they could and he told me but I forgot about it - the house was in a mess because they came early Monday morning - they appraised it at $97,500 and said we wouldn't have any trouble selling it but we told them we weren't in the market for at least three more years.

Tommy and Mickey Luten are finally getting a divorce and they have sold their home - I believe they got about five thousands more dollars than they were going to sell it to Bob and Claire for - that has been an off and on again marriage for a long time!!!!

I bought school at Henderson last Thursday - eight grade History - it was really fun and being there brought back so many memories - especially of Jennie and Bob because they went there for three years - I couldn't' help but compare the way the students dress now the way they did back then - the girls all were jeans as well as the boys. I taught many of Johnny's friends and when they found out who I was they were so good - I didn't have one bit of trouble - I really love it.

I don't have enough news to start a new page but I will anyway.

Daddy is interviewing all the Priesthood in our Ward trying to come up with a new Bishop - Bishop Tolman has accepted a new job in Buffalo New York and will be leaving at least by the first of the year. They are really thrilled about I t- he has been administrator of the Children's Hospital here and has been very unhappy with his boss for a long time - he say she is a "nitwit". His new boss is a member of the church and he has known him for a long time and I understand he'll be making a lot more money. We really that to see the leave because they are both so very talented. The Munks are moving to Cleveland, Ohio and will be about two hours from the Tohmans so they're happy about that. Barbara Sondrup and Marilyn Harris had a brunch for Viola last Tuesday at Marilyn's home and it was so nice - everyone brought her something they had made except me and I took her some stationery - I had given them an album not too long ago so I didn't feel too bad.

We had our Stake Leadership Meeting for Relief Society yesterday - I left the house at 9 in the morning and got home at 7 - I was so tired and that was bout four hours unnecessary time spent and that drives me crazy. Cissy says that Shawna isn't as happy as she should be in Boise and she wants to come home for a few day after Christmas. Kid Aday was at the meeting - she is in charge of the Young Adjusts and she had about twenty girls there which is great - she asked me if you were cooking for the holidays Roy you'll have one church friend here!!!

There was an article in our paper this morning telling about Pres. Kimball's operation for another blood clot on the brain - we worry about him!!!!

Aunt Marvel is doing fine again - she was really bad when we left to go out go Utah for the folk's wedding anniversary but she somehow got much better and is her old self again. I told Daddy I didn't think she would live through the Winter but now I'm not so sure - she seems mighty strong again.

I can't think of anymore news - our weather is just beautiful - cold and crisp at night and warm in the daytime and the leaves are all so pretty.

Please be really careful in your travels - we love you all so very much and wish you a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING - we hope it won't be too long until we'll all be living close together so we can get together the holidays.
