Circus Maximus across street from Colosseum where they did chariot races. Built in the 6th century with seating for approx 300,000.
Trevi fountain - Bernini was one of main designers and it was finished long after his death in 1751.
St Peter's Basilica. Apparently after being martyred, St Peter was buried here. Some of the most famous artists of all time had a part in this - Michelangelo, Bernini, etc.
This place was AMAZING!!! Every square inch is beautifully decorated.
The Throne of St Peter (Bernini) built around a wooden chair said to have been used by Peter.
Absolutely beautiful! Michelangelo's Pieta he did when he was ONLY 23 years old!
