Grandma B's "Weekly Reports" - SEARCH FULL ARCHIVE HEREGrandmaB has written a family letter almost every week since the early 70's. These letters have captured the family's history by recording every birth, death, engagement, Lake Powell trip, holiday gathering, church calling, graduation, and most every other relevant detail of our lives. Luckily, Ann has been keeping copies of these letters since 1978 (many of which were typed on rice paper with Mom's old typewriter & 4 carbons). I've dragged this project out for several years and finally wrapped it up during 2002. I've been able to create electronic versions of all of the letters we can find - over 1,200 of them - and combine them into one searchable archive. The goal is to preserve the family history that Mom has worked so hard to document. To search the archive, you can click on the link above and either:
1) Type in a Keyword (e.g. Jimmy Fishhook - this will retrieve the letter GrandmaB wrote on August 15, 1980 that describes how I hooked Jimmy Willardsen in the back of the head while fishing on Lake Maumelle in Arkansas), or
2) Go to a specific year and date (e.g. if you were interested in what everyone was doing for the 4th of July in 1990)
Jesse Lynn Mellor Family Genealogy Resources - view RESOURCES HERE
I've begun to digitally collect documents such as 4 Generation Worksheets, Family Group Sheets and journals that may be interesting for us to have access to without having to dig through paper files. I will also post items such as the James Mellor Pioneer journal and the slide show Bob created.
